Evolve 24/7 Dashboard Server Performance Monitoring
Makes it easy for you to stay on top of bottlenecks or problems that could affect performance of critical business applications and services.
Our Performance Monitoring software puts you in control by giving you early sight of emerging outages, so you have time to fine tune or plan upgrades and keep the systems you manage in great shape.
24x7 Monitoring and Alerts
Monitor critical systems around the clock with Evolve's Performance Monitoring. Fix problems faster, maximizing up-time and delivering best of breed service ... at less cost.
Performance Monitoring Software gives you a 24x7 view of Server Performance. It's highly configurable. You can easily tune the system to set correct thresholds so the system only tells you when important things have happened - say after a number of consecutive problems - so you know it's something you need to take a look at. And we make it easy, and save
you time letting you apply these rules globally across multiple devices simultaneously.
You can also choose how to get these alerts:
Critical alerts sent instantly by SMS or Email.
Less important incidents posted to your Dashboard, Wallchart and Minidash on your SmartPhone
Alerting and Viewing options makes it easy to stay on top, wherever you are.
Trend Based Reporting
Deliver regular, full color, graphical trend based reports. Spot problems early, act proactively and fight less fires.
Evolve 24/7 Dashboard makes reporting on Server Performance easy. With Bandwidth and Performance Monitoring History Reports you can view and print 24-hour and 8-day history reports of bandwidth usage, or any Performance Monitoring parameter (such as processor utilization), directly from your Dashboard.
Access these reports at any time to proactively spot trends that could impact your network, or diagnose performance issues that you have experienced. Not only do these reports help you maximize availability of your network, they also help you identify opportunities to improve performance.
Stay Focused on What's Important
With so much to track, check and scan, Server Performance Monitoring Software helps you stay on top of the important things that could affect server performance:
Processor
Memory (RAM)
Disk
Network Interface
Server Performance Monitoring tools gather performance data on the most relevant server components so you can proactively manage systems to keep them in top shape.
Processor
Evolve 24/7 Dashboard's ‘out of the box’ processor performance monitoring checks both Utilization and Queue Length – the two most revealing measures of processor performance.
24/7 Dashboard can simultaneously monitor status (every 5 seconds) of up to four different processor instances/cores for:
Processor Utilization – percentage of the time processor is actually in use
Processor Queue Length – the queue length of threads unable to use the processor
Using these two measures, you can build up a very solid understanding of processor behavior and bottlenecks.
Memory
The Memory Usage Check is possibly the single most important measure of how well a server is running. It checks the most relevant aspects of memory performance and alerts if any go out of tolerance:
-
Available MB - amount of memory available to be used, i.e. not in use by
OS or programs
-
Pages Per Second - a measure of often the server has to retrieve something
to memory from hard disk (this can slow the system down considerably
-
Average Page File Usage - a measure of the amount virtual memory in use
relative to page file provision
-
Non Paged Pool – amount of memory which is not available for use in
the paging pool due to abnormal (error) behavior
Historical Memory
The Memory Performance Report presents a graphical report over a 24 hours and/or 8 day period, displaying memory performance (based on the same revealing memory criteria above).
Network Interface
Monitoring the Network Interface ensures that you are alerted for any unexpected levels of activity, perhaps due to errors, e.g. viruses, being spammed, worms, etc.
This check samples the total number of bits transferred in either direction over a 5 second period and is set to Alert by default if the average bits exceeds 40% of the current available bandwidth.
Disk
Another important topic when fine tuning Server Performance is performance of the disks, including disk controller(s), the I/O bus and the disk itself.
Checks are done by the three most revealing aspects of disk performance every 5 seconds:
-
Average Read Queue Length - average queue length for read requests issued
to the device
-
Average Write Queue Length - an average queue length for write requests
issued to the device
-
Average Percentage Disk Time -
percentage of time that disk is busy with read/write activity
