24x7 Network Alerts
Monitor network availability and performance around the clock. Manage latency, monitor bandwidth management, improve connectivity and effectively manage Windows Services.
Network Monitoring gives you peace of mind your networks are being monitored 24x7 and, as soon as there’s a problem, you’ll know about it. You choose how you want to be alerted.
Get a complete view of network status, wherever you are:
-
On the web - Dashboard
-
In the office - Wallchart
-
On the road - MiniDash on your SmartPhone
Have critical network alerts pushed to you:
Useful for “out of hours” support and for those incidents that just can’t wait.
Trend Based Reporting
Spot problems early, act proactively and fight less fires with. Bandwidth and Performance Monitoring History Reports you can view and print 24-hour and 8-day history reports of bandwidth usage, or any Performance Monitoring parameter (such as processor utilization), directly from your Dashboard.
Access these reports at any time to proactively spot trends that could impact your network, or diagnose performance issues that they have experienced. Not only do these reports help you maximize availability of your network, they also help you identify opportunities to network upgrades to improve performance.
Network Monitoring ... Stay On Top
Connectivity
Connectivity to various networked IP devices can easily be tested using PING Check. You can use PING check to keep an eye on:
-
LAN Equipment - e.g. Printers, Routers, Servers, NAS, UPS, MFD’s
-
Wide Area (WAN) Connections - e.g. Internet Connections, Remote Offices
-
Non-Windows Computers - such as Linux, Unix or Mac’s
Bandwidth
What's Consuming your Bandwidth?
Bandwidth Monitoring makes it easy to see who is eating your bandwidth. If this starts to slow network performance, the system lets you know.
Bandwidth Monitoring can be used for any physical network interface; Ethernet, Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet. Bandwidth Check uses SNMP to give a measure of the traffic through interface over the past 15 minutes, and if this traffic exceeds a specified level an alert is generated.
Networking Equipment (Firewalls, Switches & Routers)
Network Monitoring gathers detailed information from firewalls, switches and routers quickly and easily using our SNMP capability for pro-active management of equipment vital to smooth running of the network.
Network Services (TCP/IP)
TCP Services Check helps you easily keep track of services (ports) which are supposed to be responding (or indeed supposed to be closed) on particular IP Address or Hostnames.
This check allows you to quickly and easily determine that various network services (both internal and external) are doing what they are supposed to be i.e. providing services they should be or are unavailable (secure).
Our customers use this check in a wide ranging variety of situations e.g.
-
Test Port 25 (SMTP) - to ensure email can flow in & out
-
Test 80/443 (HTTP/HTTPS) - to check web servers (both internal & external) are running
-
Test 1723 (PPTP) - to ensure remote workers can function
-
Test 3389 (RDP) - to check remote administration is possible
-
Test many other ports - to ensure other devices/business applications are running as designed
Windows Services
Windows Services Check allows you to determine that Windows Services are running as designed so they can provide services to your network, for example:
-
DHCP Server Service
-
DNS Server Service
-
Netlogon Service
-
Microsoft Exchange Information Store
If a service stops it will alert you and allow you to restart it from the Dashboard (or set it to be restarted automatically) saving you time in remedying the problem.
